This ambitious design proposal for the new Port Kembla Port Authority Building attempted to create a true 21st century icon at the mouth of the harbour, ushering Port Kembla into the new millenium. The bid was ultimately unsuccessful, but this design helped develop our understanding of the principles of affective architecture, which has ultimately informed a lot of our more traditional work over successive years.
