Meet Christian Cabrera and Jefferson Lopez. Christian and Jefferson are heading up the new Quinlan Group Philippines office. This office has been established to manage the ever growing volumes of construction documentation we are producing ourselves, and to offer quality controlled documentation services to other members of the industry. The office has already assisted in the production of seven complete documentation packages for various projects including retail and commercial fitouts, alterations and additions projects and free standing residential buildings.

The Quinlan Group started construction on two very different residential alterations and additions projects this month. The first is a sophisticated curvilinear urban infill with a completely remodelled street facade, and the second is a more playful rectilinear rear extension with an integrated pool cabana. These projects highlight the potential flexibility and diversity of contemporary design aesthetics.

A more dramatic tilt on the Bellevue Hill mansion, this recently completed three story home includes six bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, two living areas, a four car garage, cantilevered swimming pool and a lift. The private areas of the dwelling have been set along the south eastern edge of each level, allowing the living areas to connect from the front gardens to the back gardens along the northern boundary. This enables the main living area to address both the secure rear yard and the elevated district view at the same time.

Nestled confidently into the heritage confines of the Toxteth Estate in Glebe, this hard lined contemporary extension provides a striking contrast to it’s traditional surroundings. Finally, Councils are starting to realise that the best way to celebrate our heritage is through comparison, not imitation.
