Another Joint Venture project between The Quinlan Group and Darryl Gordon design has been featured in the current issue of House and Garden Magazine. This exceptional beachside residence looks out over the Tamarama basin to the sea. Available in news aganets now.
FISH RESIDENCE COMPLETED
The design of this extension to an existing beachside semi includes multiple references to the traditional beach shack, with weatherboard cladding, exposed sandstone and oiled wide board timber floors. The substantial second floor extension has been hidden behind a tiled roof upstand that matches the existing roof, a Quinlan Group trademark which effectively obscures the scale of the dwelling from the street, creating a real sense of discovery as you move though the dwelling.
BOYTON WONG RESIDENCE
This bespoke contemporary interior was recently completed in Paddington. Spanning over four levels, the remodelling of the interior focussed on maximising connection and flow between the floors. These images were taken by the office just after the client took occupation – proper photos to follow shortly.
GRAND DESIGNS SERIES COMPLETED
This month saw the publication of the final article in the four part series The Quinlan Group has been producing for Grand Designs magazine on the different phases of the architectural process. Please click on the link below to read all four articles. As part of our continuing relationship with Grand Designs, Principal Justin Quinlan will be discussing contemporary design movements and smart design practice in the next two issues of the magazine.
INTEGRATED SERVICES – BACK TO THE FUTURE?
“I could not be happier with the finished results, and I could not be happier with the attitude and service levels that you, and all connected to you, have displayed.” This was the response of the General Manager of Heathcare and Retail at the world’s leading provider of food and support services, after The Quinlan Group completed the Gosford Hospital Staff Canteen refurbishment this week. Through integrating architecture and construction, we were able to design, document, cost and build this canteen fit out precisely on budget and in under one month. This further reinforces our belief in our philosophy that integrated services deliver better results in less time for lower fees.
CINEMA PROTOYPE COMPLETED
The Quinlan Group’s 12th commission for Amalgamated Holdings was recently completed in Toombul, Brisbane. The scope of work involved the retrofit of an existing dilapidated 8 cinema complex to house the first of a new discount cinema chain product. The finished interiors are a careful blend of existing cinema detailing with insertions of contemporary fabric, including pixelated floor and wall patterns.
