The design of this alteration and addition project draws heavily from the architecture of South East Asia. A constant stylistic influence in our work, the natural materiality and open plan courtyard architecture of our neighbours is perfectly appropriate for the Australian suburban lifestyle. In this instance a new upper level extends down over the existing Californian bungalow footprint, effectively creating a new building that harmonises with the heavily vegetated locale.
